JW Marriott Bengaluru has opened its own microbrewery, the Merak Brewhouse, to the pleasure of beer enthusiasts. Kartik Singh, the much-awarded brew-master, is at the lead, having left a secure job in the IT sector to pursue a passion.
Relax in the tropical forest environment while sipping freshly seasonal brews and sampling some of the menu’s best selections. The variety includes their distinctive Belgian Witbier, which is easy drinking with a citrus orange with a hint of coriander and mild bitterness, refreshing with a sweet and spice finish.
Try the American Style West Coast IPA, a light orange ale with a strong hop aroma and a citric, piney, and fruity taste produced from American flowers.
The season’s special, Winter Warmer, is a clear, amber-colored spicy malt with notes of sweet spices, black fruit, and malty sweetness. Kolsch is a smooth, light gold pilsner malt with a subtle fruit aroma and slight bitterness and smoothness tones.
“Located in the center of the city, we hope to make the micro-brewery a neighborhood favorite with our choice of innovative brews and a seasonal special every few months,” said Gaurav Sinha, Director of Operations at JW Marriott Bengaluru.
Merak’s Asian cuisine is also well-known. You can order tempura, house-made nachos, pan-fried gyoza, bao wraps, Gougère, and the Witbier batter-fried coconut para, which is a must-try.
