Babita Ji from (TMOC) gets a stay on 5 FIR’s from Supreme Court on five FIRs

Famous artist Babita Ji of Tarak Mehta ka Ulta Chashmah Actress Munmun Dutta, who is popularly known as Babita Ji from her show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is finally on relief after The Supreme Court has put a stay on 5 FIRs filed against the actress through different parts of the country.

The FIR was come in acted after she used a casteist slur in 0ne of her make-up videos on social media. Five FIRs were filed against Munmun Dutta under Section 3(1)(u) Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

Now, the Justices Hemant Gupta and V Ramasubramaniam have granted a notice on the actress’s plea to accumulate the five FIRs.

Munmun’s lawyer claimed during the hearing that she wasn’t aware of the real and actual meaning of the word she said in her video. However, the court rejected it and stated it to be not true as the same word is used in Bangla.

Munmun Dutta aka ‘Babita Ji’, popularly known as Babita Ji from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is in trouble again. The actress had recently used a casteist slur on social media which didn’t go down well with the people.

Congress activist Vinod Kajaniya from Mulund, Mumbai, had filed a complaint with Goregaon police station against Munmun Dutta on May 12. The police station then forwarded the complaint to Amboli police station under whose jurisdiction the actress resides.

BABITA JI (MUNMUN DUTTA) GETS FIR FROM CONGRESS.

On May 26, an FIR was registered by the police under various sections of The Scheduled Castes & Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act 2015 along with section 295 of IPC by the complainant, and office bearer of Valmiki Vikas Sangh, Reshampal Bohit.

There have been FIR’s in other states against Munmun Dutta’s remark but this is the only FIR registered in Maharashtra and Mumbai. Activists are now demanding the immediate arrest of the actress.

Rajesh Ingle, executive member of Mumbai Congress, “There are many actors from Valmiki community in the TV and film industry who are beautiful and thus Munmun Dutta’s remark of attributing specific community to ugliness was extremely shocking and has hurt millions from the community; including her fans.

Taking cognizance of her status as a popular television star and celebrity, her remarks should have been more responsible and sensitive.

Nevertheless, it is essential that an example should be set by arresting Dutta for her casteist remark so that the citizens and celebrities take a cue and refrain from insulting or demeaning SC & ST community with similar remarks.”
